SAR "Specific Absorption Rate" How many people actually pay attention or even understnds whats "Speccific Absorption Rate" stands for. It is a way for measuring the quantity of radio frequency energy that is absorbed into the human body. For a phone to be put on to market and sold int the U.S it must first pass a test by the FCC. It "SAR" level cannot exceed 1.6 watts per kilogram. We all know that being exposed to high levels of radiation and cause tumors, cancer, and other genetic damages. But avid cell phones users fail to realize that their cell phone emits low levels of radiation every time ones uses it or just having the cell phone near them. My concern is; cell phones are a roughly new invention and studies have not shown the long term effect due to the exposure of low radiation levels on the constant basis. Cell phone users are potentially exposing themselves to life threatning symptoms at the cost of being socially connected. in todays society it is normal to see a 10 years old child occupying a cell phone. Just think, 20 years of being exposed to low levels of radiation on the constant basis can potentially cause serious damage to the child by the time they reach age 30. Some percautions cell phone user should take are; using the speaker feature as much as possible, never sleep in close proximity of a cell phone, and purchase a headset if possible. These percautions do not make one exempt from the consequences of being exposed to low levels of radiation. But I rather BE SAFE THAN SORRY
