5 Reasons to make the switch to Kik…

For those who don’t have access into the super exclusive world of BlackBerry Messenger, Kik messenger is your answer. Kik’s story is frankly remarkable, rapidly expanding from zero to a million users in just fifteen short days. So why should you make the switch to Kik?

It’s free.

It has become the number one free iTunes app download. Hey, it must be good if everyone’s using it.

It’s cross-platform.

Unlike BBM, it is a cross-platform communication tool (meaning it will work on your BlackBerry, iPhone, or android phone).

It let’s you know who else is on Kik.

Kik automatically searches through your entire phonebook to determine who among your contacts is already using Kik.

It notifies you once your sent messages are read.

Like BBM, Kik lets you know if your recipient has read your message, eliminating any confusion that your girlfriend is ignoring you.

Kik’s in it for the long haul.

Much like its expanding user rate, Kik’s ideas are expanding as well. Their blog reveals a three-stage improvement plan for the future:

Perfect Daisy-an upgrade tool to make user registration and battery life more efficient

1,000 words-will enable picture messaging (making its services on par with BBM)

Sneaky Rhino-the most ambitious of the three stages, it will wirelessly connect your smartphone to any TV or PC. The literature on their blog about Sneaky Rhino’s services is rather vague merely stating, “This is where Kik will expand from being just an app, to a whole new, all encompassing social platform – with music too. We can’t share more than that, but when you see it, we think you’ll agree.” I guess we’ll just have to wait and see on this one.

My verdict? In simple terms, Kik is a free, rapidly expanding messaging service with clear plans for future growth. So you tell me, why not make the switch to Kik today?
